Hi there. I’m planning to use this Substack to write about things I find interesting. I’ll do my best to focus on original content, keeping memes and vacuous punditry in check.
For about a decade, I maintained a popular infosec blog; this site is unlikely to rival its reach. But being stuck in that lane has gotten old — so with the decline of the old blog’s hosting platform, I’m going to experiment with a more varied selection of topics here.
Please keep in mind that I will probably not talk a whole lot about information security. Instead, you might get a mix of deep-dives on electronics, CNC machining, photography, woodworking, the history of money, Cold War comics, prepping, dictators, and who knows what else. It should be a fun ride.
